FleishmanHillard wanted to deliver a memorable invitation, enticing prospective attendees of their “Social in Five Summit” to view a corresponding 360-view image of the event space in Kansas City with related information inside it. Attendees received a package containing the invite, a branded cardboard VR headset and instructions for use. Through the cardboard headset and their smartphone, attendees could experience panoramic views of the event space with corresponding information about the event all around them. This interaction was woven into the event presentation as context of how VR is allowing people to experience places differently and how marketers are engaging audiences with these immersive experiences.
This piece was a 2018 HOW International Design Awards Merit Winner.
